| A brief overview of my career background: | I started out my career in finance before moving to BT Global Services where I worked in both credit control and billings for multinational accounts across Europe supporting BlackBerry corporate accounts. After BT relocated the department to Mumbai I went on to support the projects department in process writing for a short time before opting for a career change and moving into the recruitment sector in 2005. I started out specialising in the building services sector in an agency environment before expanding into a variety of support services sectors. I have now been working in recruitment for 12 years in a variety of roles from agencies to RPO and MSP solutions to in-house recruitment management. | |
| What attracted me to my role at FLT: | I was excited about the challenge of building a recruitment support function from the ground up. FLT values were also a strong attraction to the role as they are values that I share and in the past it’s been disappointing to see employers that don’t live by their values. | |
| What I enjoy doing outside of work: | I am passionate about travelling and photography which are two things I have be fortunate enough to combine a great deal over the years. I am a huge animal lover and often volunteer as a dog walker at Birmingham dogs home. | |
| My greatest achievement in life to date: | I wouldn’t say I have one single greatest achievement but in the past five years I have visited 21 counties with my wife and done some amazing things, from sky diving in New Zealand to Shark cage diving in Hawaii, Glacier climbing in Iceland and Safari trekking in Sri Lanka. | |
